These were tumultuous days. Over and over Israel fell into the bondage of sin. But each time they repented, and God sent an amazing deliverer to re-establish their people. The lessons learned here will help us to avoid the cycles of crisis that can often disturb our own lives, cycles brought about by selfish living. We can learn to keep our eyes on our own Deliverer, Jesus Christ, who was foreshadowed so clearly by the mighty Judges.
